On 16 and 17 March 2022, European School Brussels IV is organising another Philosophy Day open to teachers and s5, s6, s7 pupils of all European Schools and other schools. Researchers, professors, and philosophy practitioners in universities and NGOs are also welcome. Due to current circumstances, this event will be fully online.
There will be four major activities accessible to everyone.
- In the GENERAL ASSEMBLY lectures, invited speakers will share their reflections on the theme of "hybridity".
- In the simultaneous WORKSHOPS, participants will present their own commentary on a philosophical text in relation to our theme.
- The Ethical Dilemma Impromptu is a competition between pupils who will be given an ethical dilemma to respond to; they will have two minutes to prepare their response and two minutes to share their answer with the audience.
- Lastly, the PHILOSOPHY COMMISSION, which is a deliberative body that will engage in discussions and debates with the aim of communally composing position papers on a selected question.
👉 If you are a TEACHER, please require each of your pupils to fill in this form individually so that we can have an accurate idea of how many people will be attending the event.
👉 NOTE: If you do not wish to participate as a contestant or speaker in these activities, you can still sign up as an audience member. You will have the chance later on to choose which General Assembly lecture and Workshops you wish to attend.
