Title: Lonesome reflections - thinking on your own
Description: In this workshop we will do some practical exercises to get you thinking. The goal of these exercises is being able to criticize your own convictions, creating clarity in your thoughts and to find out what values underlie your actions. The teacher will demonstrate the exercises and the participants will be able to perform them on their own (offline en online).
Speaker: Prof. Sam de Vlieger studied philosophy (MA) at the KU Leuven. He then obtained a teaching qualification in economics and philosophy. He is now a philosophy teacher at the Pantarijn, a secondary school in Wageningen. He specializes in the art of asking questions and followed training courses with Kristof van Rossem.
He is developing the web application www.peertest.nl on which students can test each other by asking each other questions. He writes about philosophy, pedagogy and ICT.
